Eligibility for nomination is restricted to individuals who reside or work within the Abergavenny area. Importantly, while Town Councillors can nominate citizens, they do not partake in the decision-making process that follows.

If the number of nominations is particularly high, a working group may be formed to oversee the process. Winners will not only gain recognition but will also be invited to the Annual Town Council Community Dinner, where they will receive their awards from the Town Mayor, adding a celebratory flair to the acknowledgment of their efforts.
