Showcasing Community Talent
The show featured an impressive array of entries, from astonishing arrays of vegetables and fruits to delicate cakes and stunning craftwork, symbolizing the rich agricultural community of Llanover. Children also had their moment in the spotlight, with special categories allowing the young ones to shine and gain confidence. By late morning, the atmosphere turned eagerly expectant as judges reviewed each exhibit, demonstrating admiration for the high quality produced despite this summer’s challenging dry conditions.
A Special Celebration
Marking this milestone, unique categories were introduced, including a special cake and a floral-themed handmade card, further engaging the attendees. Visitors were given the chance to vote for their favorite exhibit, with Merryn Boddington's anniversary cake taking home the coveted Robin Herbert Trophy. This moment not only honored individual talent but also showcased the spirit of community which is integral to the Llanover Show.
A Tribute to Local Dedication
Richard Wilkinson, Chair of the Llanover Village Hall Committee, acknowledged the exemplary contributions of Roy and Mandy Evans, who have been pivotal to the event's success over the past 25 years.
