Engaging Residents for a Better Tomorrow in Monmouthshire
The Monmouthshire County Council has officially launched its 2025 resident survey, emphasizing its dedication to understanding community needs and enhancing local services. This initiative invites residents to share their perspectives on various aspects of life in the county, providing a vital feedback loop that informs decision-making.
Cllr Angela Sandles, the Cabinet Member for Equalities and Engagement, highlighted the importance of resident input: "We want to hear your thoughts on living in Monmouthshire, your experiences in your local area, your opinions on the council’s services, and your involvement in your local community." This year marks the second iteration of this survey, built on last year’s data that showcased residents' views on the quality of their local environment, education, social care, transport, recycling, libraries, and leisure facilities.
Why Your Feedback Matters
Participating in the survey not only gives residents a voice but also empowers them to influence the future of their communities. The input collected will help the council improve services and allocate resources where they are needed most urgently. The survey remains open for submissions until October 31, allowing ample time for participation.
A Tool for Community Empowerment
The collaboration with Data Cymru, which facilitates the National Resident Survey, aims to strengthen local councils' understanding of community performance and perception. Residents can participate online at Let’s Talk Monmouthshire or in-person at community hubs and leisure centers, providing convenience to all.
