For those seeking a gentler pace, the first option is a relaxed 4-mile walk, particularly suited for older members or those who prefer a less strenuous experience. Participants will enjoy a picturesque journey through historical Monmouth, passing iconic sights such as the Monnow Bridge and the lush meadows along the River Wye, before returning through the tranquil Chippenham and Vauxhall Fields.
For the Adventurous: A 7.5-Mile Woodland Walk
If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, the longer option is a 7.5-mile woodland route that promises excitement and beauty. Starting with a level path to Milkwall, walkers will traverse fascinating landscapes, including the remnants of industrial sites, and serene woods before a well-deserved coffee stop at Mary Rose Young Pottery. The path winds through the charming village of Drybrook, culminating in lunch amidst the beauty of the forests and hills surrounding the area.
